This contact is designated for receiving notifications of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(2).

Filing a Takedown Notice

If you believe that content on bartools.app infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to support@bartools.app including ALL of the following information (per 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):

1. Physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (e.g., the title of your book, the URL of your original photo, or a representative list of works).
3. Identification of the specific material on bartools.app that is claimed to be infringing — include the direct URL or the recipe name and ID number (e.g., “Recipe No. 1234: [name]”) so we can locate it.
4. Your contact information, including full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

What Happens After We Receive a Notice

1. We review the notice to confirm it contains all required elements.
2. If valid, we expeditiously remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material (usually within 24-72 hours).
3. We notify the user who submitted the content that the material has been removed.
4. We document the takedown in our repeat infringer records.

Filing a Counter-Notice

If your content was removed and you believe it was removed in error or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice to support@bartools.app including:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the removed material and the location at which it appeared before removal.
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, address, telephone number, and email.
5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or if your address is outside the U.S., the Northern District of California).

If the copyright owner does not file a court action against you within 10-14 business days after receiving your counter-notice, we may restore the removed material.

Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i), Bartools maintains a policy of terminating the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. A user who is the subject of three (3) valid DMCA takedown notices will have their account permanently terminated and will be banned from the platform.

Reporting Illegal or Prohibited Content

For content that is not a copyright issue but is illegal or violates our Terms (e.g., prohibited substances, harassment, spam), please report it through:

We review all reports and take action where appropriate, including content removal and account suspension or termination.

Good Faith Notice & Fair Use

Bartools respects fair use (17 U.S.C. § 107) and the principles of the public domain. Many classic cocktail recipes (e.g., from pre-1929 publications) are in the public domain. We encourage submitters to rely on public domain sources, original creations, or properly licensed content.
